All 3 games work for me on my xv6900. Has anyone tried my keys being mapped this way? Any loss of functionality?

can't run it from a folder on your sdcard. needs to be placed in the topmost directory. To avoid overwriting your other folds, I suggest you temporarily put your origional files into a folder.

Hey dzo. Great work so far. I'm not much of a programmer, but after my sister's wedding in a few weeks I plan on getting my hands a little dirty with this project as well.
One thing I noticed was when I upgraded to the kernel where you changed the keyboard to show the button preview above the key instead of right on it, I started experiencing severe energy drainage. I noticed that after a few minutes of the screen being off, the blinking LED would go solid red, and the battery would get very warm. I went back to the previous kernel, and that has stopped. I checked the console and the exception browser and didn't find anything of significance. I'm on radio version 3.41.00, and my phone's running on Telus in Canada. (Also, Telus seems to block me from telnetting to my phone, it sucks. Anyone else on Telus find a way around that?) |

anyone know what directory the wallpapers and images are held? I have scanned through both data.img and system.img w/ a fine toothed comb. found nothing on either. I know they are there though because I can view them in android.

Dzo:
In theory, would it be possible to instead of shifting the screen up when displaying the keyboard, to draw the keyboard translucently over what is being displayed by Android? I know this could be especially difficult if the framebuffer is using a palette instead of RGB. I just think that drawing the keyboard over the screen would be even more usable than what we have now. Also, I've noticed a what I think is a bug with the keyboard: If the backlight is turned off while the keyboard is up, the keyboard is left active. Touching the screen causes the vibrator to engage. |

as far as the keyboard goes, i think a full screen translucent keyboard sounds like a fantastic idea! maybe it could be flipped up from the bottom like the notification bar does from top? this would let us reclaim a hardware key (camera button). I don't know the first thing about creating a keyboard apk but here is some ideas...
Here is the Repete Translucent OSK for windows xp. ![]() Here is a cool Vista Aero API that would look nice for a keyboard ![]() Last edited by unsungboxer; 1st October 2008 at 06:01 AM.. |

I have loaded the CAB file and the EXE and run them from both the device and the memory card. Both of them launch and start to load Linux. It's tough to read with the small text but I think it says: can't access tty; job controls turned off - then android power wake up (0->0) and then gives the time in UTC. This repeats itself over and over again, I have let it run for 10 or 15 minutes before hitting the reset button.
The last verion loaded with no problems on my phone. I have the HTC Touch. Please help. Thanks |
