Google Maps 2.0.1.27 won't install

I downloaded the newer version of GMM and it won't install on my Kaiser. I get the following message: "Installation of GoogleMaps_compressed.cab was unsuccessful." Has anyone been successful in installing this verison?

I had the same problem. When trying to download straight from Google to the phone, I got the message. When I downloaded the CAB to my PC, then dragged the CAB onto the phone, then installed the cab - all was fine......

Interesting. I just had the same sort of experience. I used the following link to download it to my desktop.

google are working on it, its bug with the new version so i guess we have to wait.

I got google maps 2.0.1.27 working on my kaiser. Install app (posted by motocrossmann in this thread) OVER Google Maps version (2.0.1.18) I already had installed. It installed ok. Perhaps many are having problems because it will only allow you to upgrade from version 2.0.1.18 (just guessing). Hope this helps.

current version is now 2.0.1.28 and i experienced no issues as described above.

Current version is now 2.0.1.28? I thought it was now 2.0.1.27? WOw, I must be behind the times and need to catch up, lol.

The 2.0.1.27 was the one most people couldn't install so that 2.0.1.28 was a fix for this.
