I got a "Capdase" brand leather case for around $30 off eBay.

The shape and idea of it is awesome - it doesn't add too much bulk at all and the way you remove the clip means there's no extra left over bulge at all.

HOWEVER, the make is a bit crappy. The edges of the middle flip down part are fraying and the button that closes it is disgraceful - sometimes I almost can't get it open at all!

But for the money and the fact that I go through cases pretty quickly cause I treat my phone badly when it's in a case, it has worked out well.

i think $30 is too expensive? our market sells that capdase for a little more than half of yours.

I think as a general rule, whatever something costs not in Australia, times it by 2 and you'll get the Australian price.

Our dollar is a lot stronger these days, things are still WAY overpriced here compared to say, the US.

Default These cases don't work so well!!!

I purchased one of the expansys ones and whilst it's a nice case and fits the device well there is one MAJOR issue with the Niki that makes it a real issue.

The slide detection works on magnets!

This causes the phone to think that the slide is opened when you put the device in the case and closed when you take it out...in turn this means the device wakes up every time you put it away (not too bad) and that it hangs up calls when you take it out of the pouch (very bad)

I emailed expansys to point out this short comming and they totaly ignored me!

  1. The material and biuld quality of the htc case

  2. If the htc case (above) has a magnetic clip like the case HTCStuey (left) has or if the magnet is built-in to the flap like the expansys case (right)

    or

Thanks

Thanks to those who'd tried out the crystal case from ebay - for 4 quid it's pretty much a bargain! Comes with another screen protector which I've stuck on over the one that comes with the t-mobile touch plus and it's great!

Maybe the reset button is a bit hard to get to now, but unless it freezes (which mine rarely does) you can just use the power button.

Nice that it still slides open too.
Kind regards,

Dan O'Neil

Well as a update I've managed to crack my crystal case... better that than the phone I guess!

Are you people having succes with magnetic flip cases? The one from Touch will force the slider open when I close the magnetic clasp.
