You can also soft reset by holding down the power button until the "Power will be turned off..." message appears. Hit "yes", then power on again.

As I'd like to avoid installing bunches of different programs, I simply use Quick Menu (which is - IMHO - a "must" for WM users) which also allows to SR the phone.
