Default futureshocks WM6 ROM: how to add ringtones

Hello, i am using the WM6 ROM by Futureshock (V2) on my Mteor. With WM5 it was possible to add a ringtone by pressing enter several seconds on a mp3 or mide file. Then it was selectable from the ringtones list. Now, TCPMP is assosiated with media files and this procedure no longer works. How can i add a ringtone under WM6?
Many thanks.

Hi,

firstly i would say you should use the new wm6.1 ports...

and when you want to add an mp3 file to ringtone list just copy the mp3 to my documents...

you can also made a my documents folder structur on sd card too... i have it so... after every reflash i have all my ringtone and pictures back in system without to do anything more...

Please Donat a few Bucks if you think my time and work is worth it!

Many thanks. Sometimes it is more simple than expected.
I'd like to try the 6.1 ports, but i am using a screenreading software to access the phone, because i am blind. Afaik this software is not yet compatible with 6.1. So i'm afraid i have to wait for an update.
I still can't play midi files with the WM6 V2 ROM. Windows media comes up with an error "source filter could not be found". Is there a solution?
Thanks again.

just give 6.1 a try... its not so different from wm6 ...

wm6 port i think is discontinued because of wm6.1... theres no need todo on wm6 more...

also its booting up too slow... and bugfixin all this isn't worth effort...

the latest WM6.1 port works fine here, even with Mobilespeak (my ScreenReader). The only thing i have noticed so far is: The sounds for alerts, key clicks etc. are enabled but not working.
Thanks again.
