Yep, spoken to Dave before, he's a nice guy but couldn't help me last time I asked if he could assist with a 128MB RAM upgrade, maybe he can help with fixing the USB port so I can reflash it. I can live with it at 64MB, but I desperately need to reflash it to get it to boot up.

Strange. Dave actually upgraded my Uni's RAM to 128MB for me. He fixed the USB port along with the RAM upgrading process, but, unfortunately, my Uni died a couple of months later...

i have a dead a701 (when i try to power it up, the power led starts to flash all the colours red blue and the screen remain black). Can anyoane tell me how can a write a rom directly on its chipset?

hey tomal, any news with the development of this tool? fried my usb port and the tracks on the pcb are kindof messed up, dont think will be able to fix it =( is there any other way to flash one of your roms onto my device? its a g4 uni btw thanks a lot

i just update wm6 for i607 to i600 phone & wen it start again it only shows the start logo then it shutdown automatically... pls .... help.. i just want 2 know how can i fix it & wer can i get the tools.. for it to run again......

I am using this tool to update the ROM... because the device is not reconized by AS and I can't flash anymore. So I followed step by step the instruction also adding the G4 MMC header but the dump stops itself about the 1.35%.
I am using a 4Gb SDCard and the latest lucabig's ROM.

Anyone can help me?

i followed each step as instructed in the 1st post. and also in the cmd . i m using a 4gb card to do so.. i follow all the instruction and when finally the sd tool stops working (with an error ofcourse) stating about i cant make a backup or so.. saying i was unsuccessfull.. my card suddenly becomes raw after it and when chekd shows 0 bytes. is this normal ?? as i faily doubt coz even thou i formateed the card in FAT32 prior to doing this operation . it jus seems i cant do the updrage.

i've tried to do it with a 256mb and a 2gb sd card so far. at the 256mb card it aborts at 19% instead of the described 25.5% tho (on SDImage), if i enter the bootloader mode i just get the usual "Serial, 1.00" at the bootloader. so my problem is, i cant flash the rom as my usb port seems fried, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...65#post3529865
