Haha...I think they took it a bit too far at the end, but it's good to know that it can survive being thrown deliberately at the ceiling, then falling to the floor, unscathed.

DONATE TO ME
Default droping

I'd have love to have seen it being dropped from about 1.5meters on concrete
my XDA II died a horrible death to such a fall and ever since when walking about with my orbit i live in fear! But that is still impressive assuming it worked, the screen was only viewed at black so damaged crystals are are to see.

Probably explains the fact that carry case is not in the box and is optional. If the surfaces are that scratch resistant, then carry case is unnesessary. at least if you are not planning to carry your diamond phone in the back of your truck or in plumber's toolbox

It seems that the case is mainly for cleaning the device, rather than protecting it.

there are some cheaper alternatives around: cloth, tissues, shirt, pants, jeans, jacket.. rubbing phone against cotton shirt ore any cotton fabric does it nicely for me. I am carrying Excalibur around at the moment. looks nice and clean after almost 2 years of daily use.

I would still like a belt clip case - I doubt putting it in my pocket would be a wise thing...
