sad to say, you have to reflash to WM5.. after you do that you need to ##786# and do an rtn reset (take note of your MSID because you will need to put that along with your cellphone # back into the phone). once that is completed you need to ##3282# and reprovision your data connection...

when your data connection is reprovisioned you can flash back to whatever cooked ROM you want... one final note... when you have reflashed to a different ROM... DO NOT touch the network connection under phone settings... when you do that it breaks your data and there is no way to get it back except through WM5...

Default Very Slow WM6.1 on Treo 700wx

I loaded WM6 on a Sprint Treo 700wx last week which performed very sluggish. Then I upgraded to WM6.1, and it is extremely slow. Is there anything I can do to speed this up, or is there a different version I should try loading?

Also, under the System/Buttons menu, the buttons don't align with a Treo. Is there a way to change this, or is it because the ROM was not developed for the Treo?

You can try using a CPU Scaler to speed things up.

I noticed that also. I just assigned them from memory & trial-on-error.

button 1 = windows key
button 2 = ok button
button 3 = ctrl +green phone
button4 = not sure
speed = hold ok for a few seconds
record = side button below volume
brightness = ctrl +p
keyguard = ctrl + red phone

Night Raven: Any luck on BT active sync?

I love the new sync contacts feature it works great without using an addon contacts sync software. The one I use is called Hands Free Config by Jet Ware Mobile. My question is there a way to get that option or the enhanced bluetooth as a installable .cab? Is it the enhanced bluetooth libraries or a registry entry that allows for that feature?

I'd like to try and add it to Ebags rom.

thanks

Which WM6 were you using? I've found that Ebags Trimmed WM6 is very fast. However, his full version of WM6 was slow, but the WM6.1 here was by far the slowest. Try out the trimmed (btw I also have a Sprint 700wx)

Thanks for the info. Where can I find the trimmed WM6?

Thumbs up

I too am using the Ebags trimmed ROM on a Sprint Treo 700wx. It is VERY fast compared to stock. I can't really attest to the speed of the others, but the response time on that ROM is great!

I was stupid enough to go in there and break it, so you're saying I have to pull the MSL and completely kill the phone's radio setup to get back?
