There seems to be a bug in HTC's audiomanager that causes it to go nuts/freeze/not display cover art if there is album art embedded via ID3 tag. After deleting the cover art tag, and then syncing via WMP 11 all is well in cover art land.

Worked for me! After creating all the folder.jpg files I was still having some covers that were not initialised. Deleting this file (AudioManager_Eng) and resetind the diamond recreated the the files and ALL the covers are OK.

I've finally managed to get all my album art to show on the tf3d screen, but i can only see 1 album at a time. Anyone know how to get the flipping effect so i can scroll through my albums via the screen.

Go to Library > All Songs (the note Icon) play the first on the list.
Back in TF3D, ALL your songs will be displayed as album art (where available) in alphabetical order.

Touch Flow 3D Music Sync and Art Problems Fixed
1. Sync problems: To resync your music library to touch flo 3d music: 1. Go to start, settings, today screen, items, scroll to the bottom, uncheck touch flow 3d, press ok, reboot the device, press start, programs file explorer (and navigate to the root directory on the device), go to applications and data, htc, audio manager, and delete the file "audomanger_eng.vol" 2. Sync the device to your computer. Copy all of your music files from your storage card to a temp folder on your computer. Use a music file tag editor to make sure you have the files set up correctly with album, artist, and song. You will want to organize all the music files into folders. For example: "Music/Rock/ACDC/For those about to rock.mp3" 3. You can now create a jpeg picture file for each genre, artist, album, or song depending on how much work you want to do. {I recommend using google to search for the pictures and you can save them under what ever name you want in a temporary file folder on your computer.} Once you have got all your pictures, you will want to copy them one at a time to each folder on you phones storage card in the music directory next to the band you have. So you if you have a folder on your storage card music/rock/acdc with some songs from acdc and you have another folder music/rock/pinkfloyd and some songs from pink floyd, you will copy the jpeg of acdc to their folder and the jpeg of pink floyd to their folder. You will now need to rename the jpeg file "hTC_AM_AlbumArt" It will be easier if you just cut and paste when you rename. 4. Once you have done this for all artists in the music folder on your phone, you can go back to start, settings, today screen, items, scroll to the bottom, and chec touch flow 3d, press ok. ONce touch flow 3d reloads go to the music tab and it will take a few minutes to scan your library depending on how much music you have, and it you will have all your artists, albums, genres set up correctly with pictures.. Yeah it only took me like an hour of reading blogs and playing with the files to figure this out, so I thought I would share the knowlege. Good luck. |

Brilliant post, davidornm!
I've been trying to figure out why the TouchFlo player couldn't play the songs I'd copied to the internal storage. Thanks for posting your findings! ![]() |
