I am a beginner, what is the first step?

I am come from Hong Kong, my English is not good....Hope you can understand my English....
Before, I try P3600, but my friend gave it to me...
He said it is very safe to flash any rom, because he installed something in my phone....sound likes "private the phone become a brick"...
Can anyone tell me what is my first step if I want to flash other rom for my phone??

I think your friend said: "prevent the phone becomes a brick.." and he was referring to the OliNex Signed HardSPL if I am not mistaken.

Well, don't be complacent though... when you are new you just got to READ, READ AND MORE READ..

dont flash till u know what u r doing. if u flash then brick because u were not sure dont expect everyone to help u.
