Default need help for cricket internet!!!! asap

as i stated in an earlier post i have what once was a telus issued htc touch p3050 which i have been informed is the same as a 6900. i took my phone to a local phone flasher and was given back a partially flashed phone. to make outgoing and recieve incoming phone calls the phone works great!! however when i try to connect to the internet... i follow all the setup rules of the wap.cricket.com, mynumber@mycricket.com, and port 8080 etc...
when i try to connect it tells me i have a bad username or password.
the phone attempts to dial the #777 too.
ok now here are some mitigating factors i should tell u about...
-when i soft reset the phone i get an alltel slash screen even tho the phone operates on the cricket network.
-when i go into the settings to futz with the internet settings i also get choices for an alltel phone.
-and as told earlier by a few folks i checked in my pst settings and my phone is in fact already on the simple ip settings...
please help!!!!
i really want and need internet!!!
i would be willing to try and reflash the phone with another rom but i can't get the qpst to recognize my phone... cuz it only allows me to open one additional port in addition to the two that already exist...i keep getting a port busy error...
thanks in advance!!!

you realy need to just flash it yourself with a new rom... check your radio (3.35 & up) and then switch to one of vetvito's roms. after you flash it remember to set the phone todiag mode (##3424) so qpst will see it. you might need to change the port via the device manager. make sure you have the drivers you need (ppc6700 drives work fine)... Do ur *228 stuff after you change the spc to all 0's. if ever in doubt ##778 to check your epst settings. for internet, setup ur modem & proxy in the connection manager. be sure to use your real number and "cricket" as the pw. This is not a full walkthough, but the just main points you need to touch on.

good luck

Default Cricket on HTC Apache PPC6700

I have the PRL loaded. Internet is a b*tch! Every time I do a soft reset, the sprint connections come back. Then I have to delete the Sprint one, and goto the wap.... whatever whatever site to get it on the internet. And its only 1X. Here is a link to PRL's. http://corolada.com/prl/

If ANYONE out there is willing to make me a Cricket rom for my 6700 Apache, you will be my best friend. It would be nice to not have to load a random PRL every time i hard reset my phone and mess with connections forever just to get slow as heck 1X speeds. If you can, just make a rapidshare link to the exe. Helmi's WM6 rom is bad and doesn't work right. And I don't know how to use BuildOS and my friend has used it several times on his VZW apache. But it won't work right for some reason. All I am asking for is a rom or cab or something to get internet to work. i don't even care that much about mms. even tough it would be nice

@tbananaz: Go to Howardforums.com under the cricket forum and looks for To0's V2 ROM for the 6900. You might have to PM him for it. Out of the box its has everything for cricket aside from changing a few things under EPST. The easiest way to get your phone working with everything with Cricket.

@disturb3d1: Your best bet for the 6700 would be to build a ROM for yourself for Cricket. Download PPCkitchen and make one. Its pretty straightforward and has everything including Crickets OEM info. So you don't have to mess with any other carriers settings.

If you any of you need help let me know. 8)
