Default Schap's Advanced Config (2.x only!) - new xml/cab (nikagl)

Dear all,

I'll use this thread for updated versions of Schap's Advanced Config XML updates. It will contain a zip and a cab-file which installs the English version of the XML (AdvancedConfig_040C.xml). A changelog will be posted later in a wiki...

Please note that installing it on 3.x will work but will remove several of the new tweaks in 3.x.

Regards,

Nika.

Question

Nice work! I assume I can run this on my Hermes, & is there info on options that don't apply to my tytn1 (like for kaeser only)? Also, do u recommend I uninstall my current schaps v2.1, or should I just run your cab over it?

Thank you for all your efforts on improving Advanced Config, maintaining a changelog/wiki is a really good idea!
At the moment I'm too busy to care of Advanced Config development, but I will release a new version with new features later in july, and I hope it will fully support lastest HTC devices (Touch Dual, Cruise, Diamond,...).

For device specific tweaks, don't forget to add a condition to make them visible only on supported devices.

Thnx!

I second that motion! That's an excellent idea. I had been using a second application to do so. But having it in "Advanced Config" would be most excellent!

Default Advanced config crashes

Hello.

On my HTC Diamond, the following sequence of steps crashes the program:
  1. Menu -> Connection settings
  2. Long click on my internet connection (Orange Internet) which is set to Always On
  3. From contextual menu I choose Enabled (I want to set it to auto disconnect, which can't happen if I let it on Always On)
  4. I get the message Error. An unexpected error has occured in AdvancedConfig.exe.
I'm using the latest XML.

Please help - I understand auto disconnect can save battery life, which is important for a Diamond.

Thank you for a great program
