I have seen this with other applications; it is caused by a missing C runtime DLL or two. I never did work out what does install them, but I have found copying them from a working PC to a failing one does work OK.

They will be in the C:\Window\System32 folder and the two you need are msvcr71.dll and msvcp71.dll, just copy them across.

I am just wondering why this was turned into a thread when a simple download of said .dll would have worked just fine. XP ann vista that do not have .NET installed are missing this .dll. anway this probably should have been posted in Alex's rom kitchen thread

Back to XDA where it all started over 10 years ago back in the "Hermes" days on windows mobile 5 things have come a very long way in portable devices

Now rocking a Samsung Galaxy S II (I777)
With Custom Built ROM with a little mix of all the best!

this is also a problem with other kitchens, and both my OS's have .net 3.5 installed. This question is more than just were to get the DLL (i already have it) but rather why is it not included with the 3.5 when kitchen authors require .net 3.5 to be installed when it doesnt even come with the dll.

Welp I guess that would be the question to ask Alex in his thread about the Kitchen The reason I say this is because one of the main issues with Xda is tons of threads about redundant information that has been talked about again and again. This is an on going issue hence the addition of two new mod's Alltheway and P1tat...
You are correct the .dll should be included in the kitchen but i think the issue is Taz didn't include the .dll in his RC2 release of IMGFS tools since I am sure most of us already have many dev tools installed that include the needed .dll and maybe he figured if you know how to run command line .exe's you should know how to find and download a .dll
Nothing personal
