DIY: The ROM Kitchen for Pharos
base on Pharos Official ROM 1.11.707.1

I have released a ROM Kitchen for Pharos at PDA Mobiz month ago.
Since there is somebody asking for a kitchen, I think it may be useful to post it here too.

This kitchen was created from the Pharos Official ROM 1.11.707.1 which I have already posted here.

DIY was created to be a clean and very flexible kitchen; it has not been optimized for speed.
By the way, I haven't said that it is not fast.



What do you need?

1. An Official ROM; you need to extract OS.nb to be used with DIY.
   I haven't included it in DIY because I want to reduce size of file needed to be downloaded.
   
   You also need an Official ROM if you had trouble flashing your device, just in case.
   
   To download: Visit Pharos Official ROM 1.11.707.1 Thread.
   
   
2. pof's NBHExtract; you need it for extracting above Official ROM.
   
   To download: Visit NBHextract: Extract contents from NBH files Thread.
   
   
3. DIY; Download: DIY-1.11-1.0.rar from RapidShare (55MB).

Setup the DIY

The DIY can be extracted and placed any where on your computer, no matter it is XP or Vista.
You just need .Net 2 ...

After that, use NBHExtract to extract the RUU_Signed.nbh from the Official ROM.
You will get a file call 04_OS.nb along with few others.

Rename the 04_OS.nb to OS.nb and place it under ~\DIY\Build\ROM folder.

How to build ROM?

Well, there are three batch files;

• 1.BuildOS.bat, you can choose OEM(s) you would like to include in your build.
• 2.CreateOS.bat.
• 3.htcROMTool.bat.

And it is as easy as 1-2-3.

and I have a question, how can I translate the ROM in another language (chinese)?
I would like to get a english rom and translate it in chinese.

Well, I have never worked with any ROM other than WWE.

If I were you, I would extract ROM again from Official Chinese ROM. I think I saw some of them in this Pharos forum.

yeah, but the CE OS and the build versions of chinese official rom is so old, I don't like it

Seems that Chinese rom is different form wwe...
but i just wanna ask how can i make a "start pic" rom only

Why there is not so much guys use pharos

How can I add other Tools to be cooked straight into the ROMs, like Advanced Configuration 3.1?

Also, how can it be translated to German?
