Sorry I'm asking this again, but its the only thing I can think of now: did you put -conservative when you were running the ImgfsToNb. More often than not, that's the problem.

Got an idea for a Windows Phone 7 or Android project? Talk to me.

Is this project dead or what's the status?

Thanks!

@mofset: You'll need to extract the XIP partition to do that. I can send it to you if you want. Just out of curiosity, why do you need the nk.exe file? Usually messing with that can give a bad outcome, but that's all I know.

@kwoodall: I haven't been messing with my ROM kitchen for a while now since I've got my Diamond. I know you and everyone else have been waiting patiently, but don't have the time right now to complete it. Anyway, I decided I was going to make my app into a WPF-based program instead of WinForms.

Hi, first thanks to answer.
Actually I am working on an open source project called cegcc and recently we have noticed that applications compiled with it could not be loaded anymore on WM6.1.
The problem comes from the PE loader located in kernel (nk.exe) and I would need to get a WM6.0 and a WM6.1 kernel to be able to decompile and compare them.
For now I tried all the tools I have found and I never managed to get a valid nk.exe, so if you know how to do it please tell me.
I have also a ROM from a HTC device that is not released yet (Shadow2/Juno2) and the ideal would be able to extract nk.exe.

If you like you contact me at forumer [AT] smartmobili [D.O.T] com

@mosfet: I ported the XIP partition from the Motorola Q9. If you need that I can send it right away. If you're looking for the shadow 2 nk.exe, send over the rom file and I'll extract it for you.

btw, how did you get your hands on a shadow 2/cleopatra rom?
