I know I'm a bit late to the party but I've just upgraded from 6.1 to this 6.5. I know it's a little bit of a long shot that others are still using this version of Windows but is anybody having problems signing into Windows live, now that they've gone onto two-step authentication?

Sorted, it was windows new "two step Authentication ", once disable my password worked. Must'nt be 6.5 compliant with Windows Mobile Live Login?

Problem with WM 6.5 on Ameo 16GB (HTC Athena 400)

Hey folks, i got a problem when I start to upgrade WM on Ameo.
Look at this picture.

Well, this might not be too difficult. The problem is that you got a file with a wrong filename:

Why I think that this is the case?

The image of a device shown by the "PDA Phone ROM Update utility" is not an Ameo/Advantage, it is a RAPHAEL which is discussed here. Picture can be found here.

The RUU.exe file in the RAR-archive is called RaphaelCustomRUU.exe. So there is the second clue.

I might be wrong, of course. But if not, you can be happy not to have (at least soft-)bricked your device, AFAIK. As I don't put any energy into Athena, I cannot help or analyse any further.

But can I find image ROM for Ameo? This WM 6,1 is terrible and slow like snail.

Ok thats some good news. Basically i wanted to downgrade this rom to an original or a previous windows version. The first attempt was a big failure as i tried to load a original rom on the top of the spl 3.5. After that i ve found a proper file ( extremelly difficult as morelinks are dead ) and got this downgrade .

The whole thing had to be done for been able to load some greek files on the x7500. with the older rom and some files from an old x7500 with greek rom did the job.

But is is scary to see sections with no responce ..

So i am happy to see that there are still people willing to help the users with the old devices.

Michy's WM6.5 ROM for HTC Advantage X7500 - Nowhere to get in 2017 ???

Hello XDA-Forum.

I'm still using a HTC Advantage X7500/Athena 100 for work purposes and to test different roms in spare time.Now i would like to flash MichyPrima's latest WM6.5 Rom and use it daily for longer time cause it seems to be the best and coolest Rom ever written for this device. The problem is: I can't find it anymore.All the download links are dead :(

Can anyone please help.Any help would be appreciated :good:

Edit: Phone is unlocked and works like a charm at this time with WM6.1 Custom Rom and SPL 3.5

    Michy,

    Why you do this to me??? :) ...I'm here trying to figure out how to get the
    auto screen to work on your version, 1.79.2...Then you come out with a new
    release...Please tell me that this one will have auto screen rotation...:D

    Also I noticed on the pics you posted, that the remove program icon isn't
    there...I hope you didnt remove it from your rom...If so, will you have a cab
    or added into your rom before you release it...

    Overall, I just wanted to say, it looks really great...I can't wait again to try
    this one out...
