You just need to change the CID using the nbh utils and flash the new ROM.

use these instruction to realize your plan

check this list which roms are compatible with the new "bootloader" (hard-spl) from previous link.

I went from 1.37.207.2 to 1.93.407.1 (i hope these numbers are correct)

I tried signed HardSPL's(1.30, 1.38, by olinex), but they did not work, I was stuck at 0% with every ROM i tried. Something to do with flashing the Radio?

Unsigned HardSPL did the trick.

This is only a very short howto, i hope it's sufficient. I had no idea of flashing wm6 phones since last night.

READ OTHER HOWTO'S FIRST, and PLEASE get some knowledge about what you are doing =), for example http://modmydiamond.info/ was a great source for me. Read the upgrade guides. After that i knew what to do but not exactly which files to use. You're responsible what you are doing not me.

So this is how i did it:

Stage 1 (Get the files):
a) Get HardSPL

1) Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex.zip (1.92 MB, ????? views)

2) HardSPL_Olinex137_Unsigned.zip (137.4 KB, ???? views)

from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400950
links are in post #2.

Unzip 1) and 2) copy RUU_Signed.nbh (is the only file in 2)) from 2) into the folder of 1).

You are replacing a file dated 15.06.08 with 20.07.08.
b) Get your ROM:
I got mine from here as these are no rapidshare links:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413910

3) RUU_Diamond_HTC_GER_1.93.407.1 was the ROM i chose and worked for me. Etracting gave me a folder called RUUDiamondHTCGER1.93.407.1RadioSignedDiamond52.29. 25.121.00.25.05Ship

Stage 2 (Flashing):

WILL HARDRESET THE DEVICE =) (2 Times)

a) ROMUpdateUtility.exe in 1): use this to flash the unsigned hardspl to the device.

Reset and get your device ready to sync with ActiveSync again.

b) ROMUpdateUtility.exe in 3): us this to flash your new rom to the device.

I wrote this so my girlfriend can follow these steps in a few days, because she won't stand her diamond beeing slower than mine =). I'm always a step ahead :P

PS: to all the pro's out there, please correct my if i'm wrong somewhere.

Great, THX for this howto greebear.

Another question: In case I want to flash my O2 Diamond back to as-received condition, only heva to use the officially ROM Update (http://www.o2online.de/nw/support/do...ond/index.html) or do I still need the whole procedure (Stage 1 till 2)?

First: yes it works ( but i havent tested it).

Same procedure but backwards this time.

Here you can find a step by step guide to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...9&postcount=39

Seems to be understandable for me, but if there are any questions ask me.

There is an update for the german xda on the o2 website in case you need the rom from them. But I think I've seen other original roms floating around this forum, or so, too.

I'm not going to revert to the old ROM unless I have to because of waranty issues, but lets hope this wont be the case. If its the case I'm going to write down the same steps again.

And Stage 1 and 2 is something I invented, because in my opinion its easier to follow than saying: grab the files and flash your diamond =).
