I see a kit for ipod for that exact thing a few years ago - maybe its worth asking.
HTC Blackstone - now I can truly say an amazing WM device! If we somehow get properly optimised video drivers then even better.

I think it's called Displex scratch remover or similar - try it out it will fill the hairline scratch and make it invisible.

Are you sure this will work? Displex melts a bit of the acrylic plastic on most screens so that it fills up the scratches. Last I heard, the Diamond's screen is glass.

If its the screen I'd be carefull applying anything as you risk the display becomes blurred (same reasons thet don't remove scratches on glasses). If it's made of glass maybe consult a car repair shop reparing wind screens. Let's hear what you find out.

The outer layer is not glass. It's the layer underneath the digitizer that is glass. Have you noticed that you can indent the screen when you touch it, say, with the stylus? That should prove it for you.

As far as the displex goes I personally haven't tried it as I use a screen protector (which on a side note I have ruined today as my stylus has developed a sharpness that has scratched the crap out of it). So the idea is to replace it when it's gone bad with a new one. If you've scratched the actual outer surface then you could look at replacing it (I'm not sure how you'll go about doing that) or you could try the displex.

Uh-oh... Haha I think I recommended Displex to someone before... I've seen people use it on GPS displays and it worked fine, even with touch screen... But if they say no, don't risk it.
