I argee - this is very strange that you cannot access this file..- seems working fine for me (so far..) Maybe this site was blocked by a firewall, etc? Try to access http://www.50webs.com/ (this is the free-hosting site I registed the account), and http://andyzap.50webs.com/ (this is the site the file is on). Also you can try to "ping andyzap.50webs.com" - to see if you get any response from it

Unfortunatelly, you do need to access the site to use AppToDate - as it compares the version on the server (which I update as soon as I load a new one) with the one your have on your phone

There are some code examples which shows promise.

Greets!
Thanks for your help - I also searched the web yesterday, and found a few examples, which after a bit of re-work now do what I wanted. So I will add the OSM live download in the next version.

Default More track colour choices (due to OpenStreetMap)?

Since the introduction of v3.100, we can now download Openstreetmap effortlessly. I look forward to the automatic http download as someone suggested.

I downloaded the Openstreetmap Cyclemap (CloudMade). It contains the national cycle routes in the UK (where I live) which are in blue and red mainly. This renders two of the track colours useless.

Is it possible to have more choices of track colours?

No problem - please send me color names (to add to selection box) with RGB values - I will put this in.

How about:
Orange (RGB: 255,128,0)
Sky Blue (RGB: 0,128,255)
Brown (RGB: 128,0,0)
Purple (RGB: 128,0,255)

Andy, could you include "Cyclemap (CloudMade)", like in JTileDownloader. I mainly use cycle map rather than street map. Thanks.

Default GPX option

First let me say great job creating this program. I have a Garmin 305 that I use for running/riding ... but may stop using it (cause I always take my phone when I ride) why take 2.

Anyway here is my question. I wanted to see my speed data .. so I converted it to a gpx file.. then found this really cool site (http://utrack.crempa.net/) that can take a gpx file and create graphs. Only problem is my speed seems to be off. I think that the reason is that the gpx file has data stored in km/h and not miles/h (because the graph looks about right when I convert it to km/h). Anyway is there a way to get the gpx data to be generated in miles/hour.

Thanks

Ok, I have narrowed the problem down now - to my sky connection! When I tried on my phone yesterday after re-installing, I didn't notice my wifi was active

So, I can access the site / .xml with my phone on my t-mobile internet, but cannot access the site on any device at all (tried 3 x computers and 2 x pda's) on my Sky home internet. Strange. I guess this is an issue with Sky not liking your site for some reason - I can access the 50webs site on its own...maybe it is down to the MTU setting of the Sky connection
Device History (The old days!):
(HTC) Canary (Orange SPV), SPV E100, SPV C500, HTC Universal, HTC Tytn 2, HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Leo (HD2), US HTC Schubert (HD7), UK HTC Titan.

Current:
UK Windows Phone 8X by HTC

Samsung Series 7 Slate running Windows 8 Pro

Just logged my first track with this app.
Great application, just what I was looking for.
Thanks a lot!!

The OSM tiles feature does seem to have some problems though - it just displays one (random?!) tile for me. When I scroll around or change the zoom level, some other tiles are displayed, so they are definitely available.

Try to change setting "multimap" to 4 maps 2x zoom.
