Default Need help with my new(USED) Universal

Hi
Im not new to the xda scene ut am new to this phone.
My question is that the phone was unlocked and on wm6.1 when I got it, I tried to update the rom and all goes well but when the phone restarts, after i have calibrated the screen the phone crashes and I have to reboot (after which it seems fine)
Now what I would like to do is start again from the begining, I would like to remove the flash disk and reflash a fast wm6.1 rom with lots of extras, know its a big ask but any help is greatly appreciated.

And before anyone says read the wiki, thats what I have been doing but its confusing for me as the phone is already unlocked (sim and cid) i believe

Thanks in advance

if you use a stock rom first, it will clear the extended rom. then you can flash the tomal rom and remove the ms.nbf from the rom folder (if there is one in whichever rom you use). that file is the extended rom. flashing a stock rom first is the preferred method, but tomal also offers an extended rom that is empty, but visible. it will come as an ms.nbf file. place that in the folder of the rom you intend to flash and it will clear the extended, but leave it visible. hope this helps.

XDA is about developing and is for developers. Any user that recognises that will gain the most benefit from this site

This is and always will be a site for developers, pure and simple. Without them we are nothing, without them there would be no reason for XDA Developers to exist; we should never ever forget that. Without them this place would not be called XDA-Developers but something else, e.g Mobile Phone User Support Services For Ungrateful Nerds.

if you're using vista, there is a special driver needed for the phone to be flashed. look here

if it's got a custom rom on it already, not stock, then chances are it's unlocked and has a newer bootloader, but just in case, look here and here
