Default Quick one: Does HardSPL only take a few secs to flash?

Just whammed 1.40 Olinex unsigned on there and I thought it would take 10 mins to flash but it all happened in a few secs? Ive checked the version using vol down + soft reset and it says SPL-1.40-Olinex which looks right....

Dont hate me...just want to make sure something odd hasnt happened before I press on with a custom rom?

Thanks....might suggest this as an addition to the excellent guide in the Diamond ROM forum....as everything suggests it should be longer...I guessed it was small but wasnt sure how its structured and whether it was going to read out my current ROM and write back SPL + that ROM......which clearly it doesnt as it has its own hole in flash )
