Got my Xperia X1

30 minutes ago I was at Phonehouse and got my Experia. It is the Swedish retail version, it came with the usual stuff but no case but with 4 GB micro sd card in the phone.

The memory seems to be 256 and not 384 as reported. The build qualtiy is outstanding, makes my Touch Pro and Touch Diamond feels very cheap and plastic.

And it for sure feels quicker than the TP when doing things, the panels are a bit slow but everything else is very fast. Installded the full Mobile shell 2.1 on it and it flies

befor it comes up about firmware version, i think there will be soon an firmware update for the X1

Does it really shoots good quality VGA 30fps video, please tell us

By the way can you take a photo to the xperia with open keyboard so we can see what are the differences in keys layout in your Swedish version.

Other question, what do you feel about typing in keyboard of xperia vs touch pro ?

More one: Does your xperia has a button like the old prototype in the image or doesn't like the new prototype ?


Sorry for a lot of questions, but we would be very happy to know this details.

No 384MB of RAM?
No black version of the phone WITH a black keyboard.
No directional arrows on the keyboard.
No accelerometer.

The keyboard is ok, not as good as the TP. But is has real keys for swedish letters wich the swedish TP don´t have wich makes it better for me though the "feel" of the keys are better on the TP.

My TP is for sale so not hard to know wich I prefer

The only questions I really have is about the touch screen. I read several reports that the touch screen on the X1 isn't as responsive as say a Diamond or a Touch Pro. HTC and SE decided while making the phone to use another type of screen. So, while obviously the UI is different on the TP and the X1, which one would you say works better, is more responsive, accurate etc?
