Talking How I Managed To Revert Back To Original SPL Using MiniSD card

Just got a used unit for my wife with warranty for 7 days.
On the same day flashed Des-Prof HardSPL and a cooked ROM.
Later the next day the USB port can't connect to PC anymore, maybe due to some broken pins inside. So it is quite difficult to flash Original ROM from PC , especially SPL which must go through SSPL and PC USB Flashing.

This is what I did and successful;

1. Extract OEM ROM content using nbh extract tool.
2. Pack using hrt Rom Tool the SPL.nb and Both Splash.nb and build the .nbh file using htcrt ROM Tool. Name this nbh file to TRINIMG.nbh and copy to Mini SD Card which had been formatted with FAT32 earlier.
3. Copy SSPL to any location on device main.
4. Insert the Mini SD Card .
5. Now, run SSPL on the device, it will start flashing like normal ROM Flashing. It takes few seconds to complete and finally it just stuck at the infamous 3-colour screen. No matter what I did it just stay there ( phone already bricked !). But the bootloader shows original SPL, no more hard SPL! So, reverting back to Original SPL already success and happily done.
4. At this bootloader tri-colour screen,I just flash original RUU_Signed.nbh which its name changed to TRINIMG.nbh using Mini SD Card.

So happily done and will return back tomorrow to the seller for warranty purpose.

Hi,

I have one of the USB pins broken so I need to use this method to bring it back to the original state.

I have two doubts that it could be quite helpfull in anyone confirms them:

1) Can I flash directly from a cooked 6.1 WM to the old 5.o Vodafone one or do I need to pash to a faman 3.3?

2) in the wiki says that I need to use a miniSD but I have a micro SD with adaptar. Is there any way I can do it with a microSD?

Thanks a lot,

I use microsd with adapter too for my case, seems no problem.
Flash the stock ROM first then flash Stock SPL which was packed together with splash in.nbh.

Hi edywanwan,

thanks for advise

Now my Trinity is clear to be send back to the vendor. I hope never to see it again.

I tried it several times without success, but here is what I've done:

1. Extract SPL.NB from original ROM
2. rebuild SPL.NBH. Both, 1. and 2., done with NBHUtil
3. Copy new SPL.NBH and SSPL-TRIN.exe to root of SD-card (no other .nbh file)
4. Try starting device with Windows (O.K. this is the hardest part )
5. Start Fileexplorer, navigate to SD-card and start SSPL-TRIN

The device will fall to Bootscreen (3 colors), flash new SPL and that's it. Connect it to USB (without restart) and reflash the wanted ROM. Voila, original configuration
