[Question] Lock + Backlight

Small question....

I have my phone configured that after a minute or so the phone gets locked with a password. (standard windows mobile option)

but the back light stays off when i have to enter the code,
and after i entered the code the back light is turned on.

but when there is a bit to much light around me, i can hardly see the screen and the numbers to unlock my phone.
is there a way to get the back light to turn on when i have to enter the code ?

(on htc diamond and pro)

don't know which device and which rom you are using
any way, go to Start> Settings> Backlight> uncheck "Dim the backlight if the device is locked"

hmm.. that easy..
should hit my self in the head.
