Default HTC Touch HD w/ QWERTY

Does anyone have an idea or thinks HTC will launch HTC Touch HD with QWERTY and call it HTC Touch HD Pro?

Anyway, that would be my perfect phone. I was about to buy HTC Touch Pro but when HTC Touch HD came out, I kinda relaxed thinking HTC Touch HD might be the right product for me. All I can think of now is, will those fellas in Taiwan come up with the Pro version for HTC Touch HD?

Any suggestions?

I had the same thoughts, then I realised that we did not have qwerty with the original Pocket Pc's. Therefore why not use a fold up (stoway) keyboard. Carry with you only when needed and it is better sized keyboard as well. Then when not required you only carry a thin phone with you the HD!

I was going to post the exact same thoughts. I too wanted to pick up the HTC Touch Pro. But after seeing the HTC Touch HD, I convinced myself I would be willing to wait up to a year, for something with that screen and a QWERTY slider. I hope HTC has this in their recent plans.

The thing is as the screen is quite large, the keys on the virtual keyboard may be quite wider and therefore make your typing more accurate. Also there are third party software keyboards that are full screen such as spb full screen keyboard. Google "spb full screen keyboard screenshots" and go to the first result.

BTW, does anyone know how I can get rid of the vodafone logo at the top right corner of this post? I am not on vodafone anymore. Cant figure where in my profile settings I can remove it.

The truth of the matter is, when it comes to engaging in multiple sms texting communications, it's hard to beat an actual, physical keyboard. It seems HTC would agree by their decision to produce the HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro (I know there are other hardware specs also).

What would be the harm to allow consumers to have the option? I don't consider a portable folding keyboard as an option, to engage in texting and emailing discussions. That would be too cumbersome for quick messaging.

Come on HTC..........bring this to reality.......bring this to the states for ATT 3G. Hopefully this could be a true Hapy Thanksgiving in 2009. I'm prepared to wait it out a year for this one.

This is almost impossible. A friend used to have something like that for one of his old HTC PPC without the physical QWERTY - I think it was cruise or p3600. He gave it away for a kaiser so nothing beats the physical.

Imagine dropping ur fold-up keyboard home thinking, ok no heavy texting today. Suddenly, during the day you find yourself out of the office and had to send loads of emails and txt colleagues. Damn you will bite those fingers

Was thinking Athena earlier before Touch Pro. My brother got that and I wasnt all that impressive with what I saw. I wanna belive HTC Touch HD Pro will come out Q1 2009

HTC Touch HD Pro is what I am waiting for if it would finally see the daylight.
