Default Video out capabilities?
Can something like this be done on the Touch?

No. How do you imagine 320x240 screen viewed on TV?!

The Video Out Cable link that I provided in the first post, gives an example of what the "HTC Touch Pro" with the special cable can do. It shows an expanded view of the small screen on the TV monitor. Maybe this is only a function of the "Pro".

I was just wondering, if it was possible for the Elf thats all.

It's not possible on other HTC devices, only Touch Pro supports it. First reason is what I wrote before, most of HTCs has got too small screen. Second thing is that it needs special hardware.
