Porting SYS from Hermes

Hi,

I found that in Hermes' and Elf's forum, they have SYS 20758 available and tried to port them to Herald but all failed. These are the links for the 20758 SYS:

I follow the exact directions in Ivan's SYS porting guide. My question is that does the Hermes SYS structurally different from Herald's? I tried with the same procedure using on Nike's 20755, 20753 and 20478. They worked perfectly. I tried several attempts and just stuck in the second splash screen for the Hermes and Elf SYS. What is the problem here and how should i fix it? Big thanks.

Good luck, everyone go their G1's and forgot about the herald.....this place is a ghost town compared to 2 weeks ago. Even Tran just went on vacation for who knows how long....

Look like you're right man.

I've been too busy to mess around with it. I gave it a quick whirl and found that it wouldn't boot, either. But other than that, I haven't had time to sit down and find out why.

Thanks, at least I got confirm from you that it's maynot something I did wrong. Maybe you are kind enough to help me figure it out sometime when you are free!

I found the original xip.bin and I'm going to try to port the XIP first. Then work on the SYS. But it won't be any time soon, unfortunately. Too many things in my plate.

Thanks. From what I found, porting the XIP is much better. I tried many, they all works find according to your method.
