Which password is hanging you up? I am assuming its the sim lock password or the unlock pattern because if its your google password, you can just go to google's page and get your password reset.

seriously though, like one post and is asking how to remove a password lol. i want to make an app that causes my g1 to self destruct if someone tries to put another sim card into it. of course it would have to have root access and a black market account... that just got me thinking, we need a black market for all the apps that require root.

Does anyone know how to stop the enter key from being a 'send' key when typing an SMS?

Or perhaps force it to require a 'confirm' before sending sms?

I've already sent a few sms by accident when I was trying to press the 'delete' key..

if your phone is rooted then there is a mms.apk modification that will allow you to choose to use enter to send.

if you're not rooted (the horror) then look in the market for chomp sms or some other third party sms app. I think most of them have a using enter for send option.

you should still look at the link and see if you can install it via astro or some other file manager even if you don't have root. the worst thing that can happen will be you waste 10 or 15 minutes

Still can't make the phone read ringtones. There is no problem since I have Rings Extended, but I'd like to exclude my ringtones from Music player.
I've created a folder called "ringtones" (all lowercase) on the SD root directory in the FAT32 partition (since I have also the ext3 and swap partitions)
Any other tip anyone?

It is rooted, however I think you've misunderstood my question. My phone, in it's current state, sends when I hit enter. I would like to turn OFF this functionality. I bought this phone second hand, and it seems to be a developer phone. Can the above app turn this functionality OFF, because it seems (from my reading), that it activates it..

There is an option to cut it on or off. Just tested it mysefl and it wouldn't send on enter.

Where can I find this option? I can't find it anywhere, so I had to resort to using Handcent.. which seems quite good but is a little slow however.

if you have the mms.apk i pointed you too by rvg151, it should be under settings in the thread menu, under extra settings, there is one that says send on enter
