Default G1 gets noticeably warmer than any other phone...

Anyone else notice their G1 getting a lot warmer when charging or heavy use other than any other phone?

I notice that if you use the G1 when charging, it does get warm, but is okay if you just let it charge. Hot chin- hot chin!

Mine gets hot right under the trackball if I'm using it heavily while it's charging. It's usually fine if I'm using it unplugged or when I'm just charging it but not doing anything on it.

Are you all using 3G? I know that since 3G is based on WCDMA, regular CDMA phones always get hot as f*ck when you use them for prolonged periods, so maybe that's part of it.

Doesn't get as hot as the diamond. Chihuahua, that diamond gets hot.

Interestingly it's not really the battery getting hot, but the processor. I think that's true on the diamond and G1. If you notice the bottom is the hottest, and the battery is actually about the middle of the device-back (true of diamond and G1).

Haha my dash used to do this for the first couple of months, it seemed to calm down later on.
