Hi i have a strange Problem wieth my HTC touch! (ELFIN)
But I think i need an expert for Wlan-techik here! Thats why I post in this Forum!
I cannot activate Wlan!
Doings so through the CommManager will show the "waitig symbol" for 5 Secondes the Wlan says off again.

I have read!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=301960

My Registry Key for the Commanager seems to be correct!

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SOFTWARE \HTC \CommManager \WLAN "DeviceName" = " {98C5250D-C29A-4985-AE5F-AFE5367E5006} \\ TNETW12511

The Settings for

HKLM\Comm\TnetWln1\HTCPreloadStatus --> 1
HKLM\Comm\TnetWln1\HTCPreloadWifi --> 1

I could find in another place! : /HKLM/Software/HTC/Wifiint

Setting them did work once. I could afterwards use Wlan for a whole day. And then suddenly it went off again and never came back on.
No Matter what rom or radio-rom I used! No matter who often ein soft- or hardreseted the Touch.

It seems as if the driver isn`t loaded correctly. In WiFiFoFum the device isn`t llisted!
Because of a hardware problem?
Because of a faulty driver? Can I exchange the driver?
Is there an errlog somewhere that will help?
How does the Commmanager try to start Wlan anyway?
Does it call an external programm? Whats is the name of it?
Is there a way to make sure there is a hardware defect?
Can someone answer these Questions? :)
