Cannot rec any text messages

I had my phone for about 8 months. Only now i realize that i cannot rec or send text messages. The only ones that i have rec'd were direct from att. Need help please.

You have accidently turned off your radio. Although you probably would have relized that. only thing i can think of is a hard reset, if it worked before that seems the most possible solution. if that doesnt work, contact att.

I feel dumb. Called att after hours (regular hour rep and online chat help did not help) and was told that my text feature wasn't activated. Chose PPU option. Now works!!!!
