Default activesync adding proxies

I have a T-Mobile Dash running Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard.

The computer it syncs to sits behind a firewall/proxy. The proxy server is X:8080 (e.g., X is a stand-in for the actual internal IP address, and the proxy is on port 8080)

Every time I do an ActiveSync with my computer, two new proxies (HTTP and SOCKS) are created and activated on my Dash. Strangely, the proxies point to X!

Then, after I disconnect the Dash, the proxies remain and active, which means I need to go and manually delete these.

How can I suppress the creation of these proxies on my Dash to X?

Default SOLVED

Found the answer, so I'll share it here:

When the Desktop ActiveSync applications "This computer is connected to:" is
in the "Automatic" profile, will try to auto-discover the network's proxy.

If you change it to the "Work" profile and manually enter the proxy
information on the device, the device information will not be overwritten.
