For those of you who have been scratching your heads about SMTP not working, after upgrading to the Treo Pro, here's why:

I was really stuck at one stage, having just upgraded my wife's phone from a Tytn II (stock ROM which would have been WM6.0); by coincidence I had just upgraded my SSL certificates on my email server, and was wondering if I had done something wrong, so after a couple of hours of checking, lo and behold, I found the above thread, and the corresponding fix below:
