Default Extended Battery Problem

I have bought 1800mAH battery from Boxwave via Amazon.com

Everything seems to be working fine, except that my Diamond hasn't recognized this battery and showing the status as Unknown on the Settings > Power option.

How can my diamond recognize it as a true battery?

if its not a official HTC battery, then it might not recognise it properly.

its not a problem with the phone, its just that the battery is cheap, and doesnt include the info the phone usually picks up to say what type it is.
