Default Frequent disconnects from ActiveSync

Just to be clear, I had the SAME issues with my Tilt (Kaiser). I don't understand it, and I searched a little and didn't seem like there were any good fixes (or more so, people that even had the same problems as me with this frequency.)

When my phone is hooked up, it frequently disconnects when I even MOVE the phone. Not unplug it, but like a slight movement of the phone affects it's connectivity.

I have tried different ports, different cables, and this same stuff happened with my Tilt as well on different computers. I can rule out a single instance of this happening on one machine with one computer/phone/cable. I assure you of that.

Have you all experienced the same problems? And this piece of crap that is called Activesync sucks soo hard, that it often doesn't even recognize it again right away. Like it will take me a few physical disonnects of the cable from the USB port before it'll recognize it again.

I want to say that it has to be widespread to either a few HTC phones? Or contained to Activesync itself.

Or...it could just be me? Is anyone else having the same problems?

Please let me know. Thanks!

Lightbulb ActiveSync Frequent Disconnects

I have have had the same issue with both my older Cingular HTC 8125 and now I am experiencing the Same thing with my new At&T Fuze (HTC 4600). I have tried to figure it out for a while too but I just chalked it up as a faulty/loose USB connection on my laptop. I did not seem to happen on my Desktop pc at work (that I can remember). So what I can suggest is if you already have not tried it, try syncing to another PC and see if it still happens?

Have you tried changing the On External Power Settings on the Advanced Power options
Start > Settings > System > Power > Advanced

Same problem here. It will connect and disconnect while it's just sitting there. It sure makes transferring files difficult! I have to try over and over until each files gets transferred. Then some other time it will stay connected for hours.
