iGo 8 on Raphael

So, i got iGO 8.0.0.54000, and it's the 1. sept update. Is there anything newer for Wm 6.1?? I tried some 8.3.2.64873 version (seems to be the newest), but it doesn't start. Classic problem that some people wrote about here. It starts, then nothing happens. I thought maybe it's beacuse application.dat is nowhere to be found in that release I downloaded, I dunno. Maybe someone more experienced could tell me.

All in all, i'm on a 54000 version, and wondering how to update it, and if there is an update at all?

Oh yeah, one more question. I found sattelite, and it's missing my position by some 500 meters. how can I fix it?!?

I'm having the problem where the gps locks on fine--but for only 3-4 seconds, tells me GPS signal lost, waits about 20 seconds, then reconnects, only to lose the signal 4 seconds later...any ideas?

Your problems are independant from iGO 8 but it´s the GPS of Raphael that has a lag. You can read all over in this forum

iGO 8.3 works on Raphael as well. I´m using it. Can it be that you are using a non legal copy of iGO?

Your issue with losing the gps signal is endepedant form iGO but it´s an issue of your raphael

Whatever if it is legal or illegal version, (I'm not concerned about) iGO 8.3 works on Raphael.

What you have to do is to edit your sys.txt and set :

[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"

[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1

[device]
sdcard_dsk_num=7

I have iGo 8.3 working on mine, and I don't have this line in my sys.txt:

[device]
sdcard_dsk_num=7

I did have to mess with my data.zip a few times to get it working correctly.

I still haven't found a good working style with 8.3 though so I'm still using the default.

I changed sys.txt and now it's all working for now
