Default Interesting

Has anyone noticed that if any file is deleted from WinMo side, it eventually ends up in the recycle bin on Vista Side. This happens even if they are disconnected or even if vista is turned off.

Thanks

Does anyone else see that behaviour? Me not, you are sure that you are not deleting a mapped folder or something like that?

If it works with vista turned off, and the deleted file is not cached at another position, wm needs hdd access and the path where recylce bin is stored. You could check hdd access by listening to the spin of the hdd or maybe see a led.
You have a special rom or changed something, you have a inserted SD card?

I don't have special ROM installed. WM doesn't have access to SD Card. Let me try to listen to hd or look at hd led next time when I am near my shift. Currently I am away from it on a tour. I am using thaihugo's version of ROM.
Thanks

I tried it with thaigos rom too, but still dont get this behaviour. Probably you see the file in the recycle bin because of a synchronisation of files between WM and Vista, if you delete the file in wm, the sync just delete it in vista part too.

It is possible. The other thing i noticed is the Harddisk led flashes whenever you soft reset the windows mobile. Also if you notice program files folder on Vista side has a folder called HTC and under that you would see another folder called SnapVue. This would get replaced with newer SnapVue folder whenever you reinstall ROM (WinMo). Of course this is an empty folder.

Thanks
Ram
