Question SCUMMVM help

Hey guys,

Installed SCUMMVM onto my Touch HD and set in the options to go fullscreen 2x.

The problem now is the screen is left justified whereas the device thinks it's central. The upshot is that the stylus needs to be touched about quarter of an inch to the right of the deisngated area.

Anyone know how to solve this...

Thanks in advance

The solution is to rotate the screen 180 degrees while a game is running (5th icon below the screen). Then the input is not shifted anymore.

Edit the file <scummvm.ini> and add this line:

landscape=2

This will make ScummVM start with the correct orientation. That way you wont have to rotate the screen manually everytime you're in a game

Hope, SCUMM will be full WVGA compatible soon.

No need to apply the fix. Just tap twice on the monkey icon and everything will be ok (corresponds exactly to the landscape = 2 manipulation described here above). Even if you do it manually, ScummVM will be remember that setting for next time - you can configure that setting for every Scumm game and for ScummVM itself. With landscape = 1, the touch response does not work correctly. With landscape = 2, the touch response works properly. No way to centralize the screen though.

Regarding WVGA compatibility, from what I understand there will be no such compatibility. This does not have to do with ScummVM but rather with the games which run on the Scumm engine. In particular the older ones run on non-wide screen resolutions. Consequently, any WVGA scaling would result in stretching the images, unless you wanted to get rid of the ScummVM menu bar during the game. That would require reprogramming the interface with context menus to replace that menu bar.

I think the guy just wanted the game to be showed at the center of the screen, and not on the left.
