Default Rom with enabled call recording

Hi all,

is it possible, to create a rom with enabled both side recording on the blackstone?

I tried to use vito audio notes and resco audio recorder on the latest rom and i still can only hear my voice on the recording. the other party is not beeing recorded.

there are many applications, that can attach to the outgoing audio stream like SD WOW and other mixers.

Can the internal sound card be changed, that applications like vito audio notes or resco audio recorder are working?

greetings.

I think you are mixing some things up here. Creating a Rom is just about adding your favorite programs and removing the ones you don't like. You can also add some registry tweaks, but at all the functionalities stay the same.

If you want to change Resco Audio Recorder in a way that it can record you phone calls, it has nothing to do with cooking a rom, it is about tweaking Resco Audio Recorder or patch the accordant drivers.

So, at all, you just have to search for some audio (driver) tweaks, but not for a new rom ...

Default interface problem

hi,

as far, as i know the "recording both sides problem" results from an interface problem between the dlls of the soundcard of the phone.

so i guess, it should be possible to change the rom in a way, that applications like vito audio notes can access the sound stream that should be recorded.

greetings.

Early prerelease ROMS of the Blackstone did contain a program "ICR" (In Call Recording) - this was spotted on early screenshots of the phone. So presumably, ICR generally works on the phone, we just need the right program/driver/etc.

Maybe somebody has access to a prerelease ROM and can try extracting ICR? I'm sure this could work on new ROMs as well and it'd be a great enhancement!

Regards!

ICR must exist for the Blackstone - please see here for example:

Please see the 2nd screenshot labeled "HTC Touch HD Program Screen" - it's a bit blurry, but you can see the tape-like icon "ICR".

This would really be the coolest feature of all if we could reactivate it!

Regards!
