Many thanks
That is very odd indeed. I don't know why it's so big, it's not supposed to be.

And no, hard-resetting does not alter the ROM itself, as you dump the ROM as it's saved in the ROM (Read Only Memory); installs and such are done in winmo, which is installed and extracted from the ROM.

You created an .nbh file during the backup process. Rename it to KOVSimg.nbh and toss it onto your SD card. Then turn off the phone. Hold the lower volume button and then press and hold the power button as well. It will start your phone in tricolor screen. follow on screen instructions.

This question has been asked numerous times in this very thread now. Look for it yourself as I refuse to answer it.

I haven't seen that error before. Make sure that the pdocread tools were successfully installed and the registry settings applied. If it still doesn't work, hard-reset your device, something *might* be interfering. It's hard to tell what the problem is just by that error code. If these options don't resolve your problem, you'll have to ask the developers of XDA tools.

re-read the instructions, carefully you've missed something I think.

oh angelusz, the registry is entirely unneeded if you use the sdkcert cab which was listed in the wiki for the tools which i wanted people to read..
