REQ: free remote for media player

hey, as the title states, i'm looking for a free app to controll media player on my PC, i have tried windows sideshow, but it keeps crashing, if looked almost everywhere and cant seem te find a app that works, or is free, and al the paid apps look like its for windows mobile 0. so i dont trust them to work. anyone with some experience on this matter?

installed gremote on windows vista 64 bits, no problems,even works so now and then over the internet
