Because all the i780 topics are getting cluttered, I decided to create a new one solely for the purpose of discussing the latest, official WM6.1 ROM from Samsung - PDXHL2.

UPDATE 20/01/2009 - ADDED PP MODDED ORIGINAL PDXHL2 PDA BIN's and SEMI-ORIGINAL HL2 (PP16) with OLD MOUSE.DLL

FIXED RealVGA for i780 - no more cprog.exe or shell32.exe errors & working green button & phone
The only problem is a small gap at the bottom of the screen in contacts, if someone has a fix let us know!

The ROM must be flashed via Mirage updater.

So far noone reported any problems and this seems to be the latest available WWE ROM, unbranded and with multiple operator settings (mms,wap..)

Some remarks about this update:

Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
CE OS 5.2.1944 (build 20270.1.3.1)

Updated WiFi to 1.0.8.1

Includes Opera Mobile 9.5 (build 2068)
Windows Media Player 10 (10.3 build 20270)
Windows Live 10.6.0042.0300

RealVGA (the one with the fix) works OK - only missing 2 icons in settings tab (Task mgr and domain enroll)

WLM doesen't seem to work with EDGE

Thanks to dcuk7 for dumping the files (HL1) and EFN for his invaluable tools and for starting the whole i780 ROM-cooking craze!

That would be probably due to the fact that EFN used the SYS section from HTC Diamond.. so it's really up to you whether you chose a cooked or official ROM. I've had some problems with cooked ROM's (i.e. SMS stopped arriving when a certain number of messages were in the DELETED folder.. MMS didn't work - although I see EFN has posted/integrated a fix for this..) so I will stick to the latest offical HL1 ROM for now while trying to cook my own version..

Same as with EFN's ROM's - you might experience problems with the mouse/touchscreen .. noone can tell for sure. For me (i780 bought from the USA) it works quite well so far
