Default Does anyone know if a bluetooth headset like this exists?

I'm looking for a stereo bluetooth headset (preferably A2dp also) that can connect via bluetooth, but when it runs out of power, it can be connected via usb through the phone to be charged up. Bluetooth headsets are great, until they run of power after 2 hours of use listening to music. Then you're stuck with no headset at all. I'm hoping that I can just carry a cable in the pocket, and just charge up the unit using the phone's usb connection when the power runs out on the headset.

I don't think your phone' mini usb port will spit out power for charging other devices!

true, it's already too low on juice, and if it need to share with other, you might go without power for both of the device...

There are several manaufacturers that make A2DP Stereo Headsets that last all day. Jabra for example will plug into your PC/Laptop with a USB cable (USB ports will not charge fast due to .500MaH limit) and charge.

If you have a headset that last about 2 hrs, I would reconsider finding another headset.

I have a pair of Insignia bluetooth headphones that i use on a daily basis. I have NEVER run out of power on my headphones. I think they are supposed to get around twelve hours playback, but I have never heard the low power warning. I listen to music for about 9hrs a day with no probs.

the Motorola HT820 has a headphone jack and I think it comes with a headphone cable. I got mine off ebay and it didn't come with the headset cable. Great pair of headphones though. http://direct.motorola.com/ens/BTSte...A&language=ENS

Thanks guys, I'll look into the mentioned options. Good point about the limited power supply from the phone itself. However, I would be happy if the bluetooth headset just turns into a regular wired headset (which means it probably won't drain as much juice). I can always charge it up at home or when I'm not using it.

Default Blueant X5

I use the Blueant X5 Stereo Headset. Very cool. Lasts around 9 hours but comes with a seperate BT transmitter which uses the same battery (which also charges via USB). I basically use my headphones until the battery runs out then swap them over.
