this .sh file thing doesn't seem to be working for me. I get up to chmod 0755 /data/local/bin/transfer.sh
Then is says: chmod 0755 /data/local/bin/transfer.sh: no such file or directory. I'm using terminal emu with the .sh file in the root directory of the sdcard. Can anyone help? |

When you plug your phone in to the usb, DO NOT MOUNT it.

Greetings!
I've done the individual cache's to sdcard. Is there a way to reverse, then move all the caches to sdcard (/data/data/)? Thanks in advance.

Indulging in a beautiful green flower which I do quite often in small quantities even now into my mid thirties. I still enjoy messing about with 'lectronics and I enjoy my hobbies together, and I wasn't thinking much, the hack seemed easy and I did the market myself earlier soI was just loosly following the thread and using the .sh, NOW Im no linux guru but I've knocked around desktop linux, tivos (embednix).
But above writing a simple script that executes a few commands for me, im not the best. I just ran the .sh and didn't see anything about moving these caches to an ext2 (i'll reread after this post) ~/cache/ in the phone is empty and there is a cache file on ~ of my sd and I used the market and its files cached on the sd(all-fat) there was no real talk of partitions in the early cache threads, maybe they are ok on fat, they do run on an ext2 in the phone, correct is the phone ext2, yffs, fat or some mix? wouldn't they run better on ext2? IMOP the damn mcSD should be a nix FS but then you have all kinda trouble with winblows, Im sure thats why the cards are fat, unless there is a "standard" that says all flash media is to be fatfs anybody have any thoughts on any of this? Im gonna test the stuff I have that I moved.

they do run better on the ext2 partition.
i'm not sure what happened before but if your phone is mounted and you have the caches moved to /system/sd/caches they will actually be stored. plus it looks better if you are looking through the fat32 partition of your sd, with astro. |
