@deep_sea: Dude, ever visited your Settings menu?? There are settings for task manager on the system tab, you can adjust the working of X button there, if its included in the rom.

dude there is no "settings" option in task manager.. i downloaded n installed it manually wen i ws using wm 6.. but i cant find it fr wm6.5

Same works for WM 6.5 also, if you have that cab install it. If you are using a 6.5.x rom (those which have start button at the bottom of the screen) then you will have to opt for another task manager, or the task manager icon wont display at usable position.

thanx fr the help that u hv provided but i guess i m nt liking this version of wm6.5.. is there any way by which i can make my phone wm6.1 again.. pls let me know as wm6.5 is nt user friendly at all n ther's no audio booster in it as well.. so downloaded it frm sumwhere.. but anyways thanku.. n do give me the link where the info about downgrading(if its d wright word) is provided.. cheers..

Audio Booster is not part of WM 6.5, its an htc app and its upto the rom chef to include it or not. I think you have not tried a good rom yet and that why getting wrong impressions about 6.5. 6.5 is a very user friendly OS, the problem is, its not made for devices with so little ram and storage space like our gene. thats why the experience is not that good. If you want to experience the real WM 6.5 you will need to have a phone with at least 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of ROM space with a little better processor. But believe me, whatever bothered you in wm 6.5, most likely its a choice of a particular rom chef, not a mistake on OS part.

As for WM 6.1, download and use my Pro User's ROM WM 6.1 Edition v5 (build 21056), its available in its own thread in the Gene Upgrading forum. This ROM will give you unadulterated WM 6.1 experience. MOst of the stuff is not customized and is plain vanilla 6.1 as it comes from Microsoft. But it does has all the applications that came with the original gene rom like audio booster, audio manager etc, along with a few extras like Youtube player, a more capable filemanage called gsfinder+ and a few more. Try it!

we have wm6.5 roms with titanium+ manila but why we don't have a wm6.1 rom with titanium.
is titanium not working on wm6.1???

Titanium is a Windows Mobile 6.5 native today plugin and it doesnt work on Windows Mobile 6.1. Microsoft designed it so, it uses the new GDI facilities available in the 6.5 OS like the trilinear filtering etc.
