How to get the Touch-IT Xperience on your Sony Ericsson X1:
IMPORTAND READING FOR MULTILANGUAGE USERS:
-There might be some language/timezone issues due to localization.
This can be fixed by go to start menu/settings/system/reginal settings and choose your country.
Hard-SPL is needed if you wanna flash custom roms

My tips on how to flash a custom rom:
-Do not let battery be below 50%
-Keep the device on a secure location (so that it wont fall and loose connection to your pc during flash)
-Enter bootloader (rainbowscreen) pressing power button and volume down simultaneously (hold the buttons untill you enter bootloader)
-Connect to pc (activesync)
-Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow onscreen instructions
Flash via micro-sd method

-Make sure x1 is hard-spl first
-Make sure your micro-sd is formatted w/ fat-32
-rename the image file (normally "ruu_signed.nbh") to Kovsimg.nbh, copy that to the micro-sd, and put that on your X1's sd-card
-Bring x1 to boot-loader mode by turning off the x1 completely. Hold the "volume down" button on the right, and hold the power on button until you see the tri-color screen.
-Then follow the on-screen instruction
My custom roms comes with different applications installed, here is a little cab collection to supplement the rom you use:
EDIT 05.02.09: All v3.5 and up will contain a zipped folder with language spesific cabs, like in.ex panels and Opera (overwrites the one in rom)

Touch-IT Tips, Trix & Fix
1.) If you want a slightly larger softkeyboard (standard wm sk) enter settings/Input then you will see the options to choose either large keys or small keys.
And ofcourse you wanna check the option for large keys, since that was the purpose of this tip
2.) If you wanna use bbc iplayer, you could add this string to opera.ini (thx to fards for pointing this out)

3.) Remapping softkeys will not work using conventional methods as regeditors etc. You will need as a temp sollution
to install a application called HD-Tweak made by Monte Cristo over at Blackstone forums. This app mods Manila, and
will work remapping softkeys. DO NOT USE THE SOUND TWEAK OPTIONS WITH THIS APP, THEY WILL HAVE OPPOSITE EFFECT ON X1.
The rest of the tweaks listed in HD-Tweak, you can safly try to apply

4.) -Some might experience that common tweaks are not included after installation.
But I have added a Touch-IT.provxml (updated/fixed) file in attachments. Copy it to your sd-card, then run advanced config
click menu in right bottom corner, then choose import provisioning xml.. browse to the Touch-IT.provxml file, select it, wait a bit, then reset when asked.

Additional info on v3.5:
-ALWAYS PERFORM A HARD RESET AFTER UPGRADING TO A NEW ROM. IF NOT YOU MIGHT HAVE ISSUES THAT IS NOT ROM RELATED
-Opera is set to WWE only on all languages. I dont have the language files that translates this version correct.
In my eyes the advantage with this Opera version outweights the disadvantage (wwe only)
-You will most likly need to run Connectionsetup manually, you find it under startmenu/settings/connections
-For some reason landscape cab from Angelusz unfortunatly mess up camera settings in my rom. So my advice is to wait untill he ev. updates.
Info to users of Russian rom:
-I could not fint the locale paths to start menu\programs in your rom (perhaps I need russian support installed on pc?? Cause all I saw was alot of numbers. So the Touch-IT folder is installed to this path:
Startmeny/programmer/Touch-IT you can copy the touch-it folder using total commander to the correct path (or another place of your choice), after that you can delete the folders that is in wrong language.
My request to users of my roms:
-Please state what language you use if reporting bugs.
-Try as best as you can to describe the issues you have
-Perhaps make some screenshots of the issues if you can (attached MyMobile123.zip is great for screenshots. Install on PC)
-Also write what X1 version you use. X1a or X1i
-Dont start yelling about the rom is useless (Or similar) just because a feature you use is not working. That is to me really demoralising to read, and it most
certainly dont encourage me to respond to your issues.
-I really spend alot of time working on this. Donations is not required, but is much appreciated.
