Didn't work. keeps the *-***-***** format.
I even did a wipe after applying the edited build.prop

Must be something in the dialer. I don't have a linux box available to build on yet.

Thnx JF!! Very impressive.. We don't need the zoom in/out buttons on the browser thanks to this! Is it/will it be possible to remove that? (magnifier is still good)

Hope to see this multi touch featuring in other apps like picture viewer and maps!

JF....i had tethering set up with the previous version, does this version overwrite any of those settings?

It overwrites anything in /system. anything in /data is kept intact, unless you do a wipe.
