Rom comparison?

A quick search didn't reveal much in the way of help on this, so I figured I'd post about it.
I'm a new (about 3 weeks now) Touch HD owner, and after a little bit of pain I managed to follow the instructions on the wiki (that aren't 100% suitable for first-timers) to flash my device from German to English successfully.

Now that I'm beginning to bump up against the shortcomings of WM6.1, I'm looking at some of the other roms that are available, but for the life of me, I can't figure out which one is best, or why I should even bother changing.

Is there a comparison table that lists some of the benefits/pitfalls of choosing one rom over another? I can see that dutty's one is obviously popular (I haven't seen it fall of the front page for a while), but again, what is the reason for it being so popular instead of one of the others?

Apologies if there is already something like this available - I'd appreciate a link if it's hiding beneath a rock that I haven't checked yet

I never found one either - I started a thread a while back to collate synthetic benchmarks which don't in my opinion show real world performance at all but left it! LAZY BONES
