All programs crashing?

My new HTC S740, just hard resetted, can't run as many apps I used to use on my old Moto Q, like dotfred's task manager, or wm5torage (I know that the function is builtin, but for the record, that program doesn't run). These programs crash just when you run them.
Also, PIM Backup crashes the same way when trying to restore messages. Luckily, it estracts the contacts backup before crashing so I can restore contacts alone.

I suspect it has to do with app unlock. I can't edit the necessary registry keys with regedit stg or mobileregistryeditor because they error out ("access denied").

What can I try? SDA_ApplicationUnlock might work?

My phone is TIM-branded (italy) and has a 20282 build rom (1.15.901.0, R 0.29.30.22, P 12.29.30.09H)

EDIT: already tried this S740-specific unlocking howto but it doesn't work, cause Regedit still says access denied.
