hy all

i am working on stacraft port to ppc
this is an alpha port for wwga screen 800x480
using strategus engine

i hope that anybody can help me to speed up developpment
be carefull data files are identical but ppc is using different path

Status
007 has campain menu
2 terran campain maps
2 terran campain maps
removed protoss from campain menu (for now)
various bugfixes and increased stability

Instalation guide

1.unpack and copy coresponding ppc version (VGA OR WVGA) to your Storage Card root
2.unpack and copy pc version to your C:
3.insert original starcraft CD into drive
4.run starinstall.exe from desktop version (if it gives you errors your cd is not usable with it / works only with eng version)
5.copy fom pc verion to storage card
\data\graphics
\data\maps
\data\sounds(490Mb) or copy sounds from this post 97mb
6.run the ppc version of the game / for the nosound version you can delete the sound folder

THIS GAME DOES NOT WORK ON QVGA DEVICES / DO NOT TRY IT

INCLUDED ORIGINAL CONVERTOR IN PC VERSION
IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THE GAME YOU NEED ORIGINAL STARCRAFT CD (NOT BRODWAR)

They had little luck getting as far as you probably did... maybe they have some info that may be usefull to you...

Just out of curiosity, after its done will you consider vga/qvga resolutions too?

vga and wvga is possible
qvga is not acceptable because you can not see what is happening on screen

desktop variant even loads the map
for the ppc texture is too big and i will need to reduce the texture to something smaller and with less tiles
i will need to redesigh all maps after this
so i will need your help but first we need to load an reduce map on the ppc
i have also on xperia forum in my kitchen the link for warcraft II and transport tycoon

pc version works and load maps you can even play
for ppc we need to redesign the tile map so it will take time
i will do an test map to see if it loads it

I have a nike, so I wont be able to test anything, but give me the instructions of what files you need croped/resized/slashed and I'll send them to you or post them here.

you can help me using the pc version
is the same data for both versions
and scripts folder is used for developpement
please open scripts and try to make menus for secenario game

hmm...hehehe... Im not a programmer, only play around in flash because its very simple to use.

I was offering more on the edition of images department, sorry... :/

well everything is in LUA scripts the menus the interface ...

i will have to play a lot to make it work on qvga, BTW it starts on QVGA device but as you know the resolution is a lil high for it

Wooohooo, and there's the next great Desktop game coming to us!


BTW: I can test it on my Diamond for VGA users if you wish!
